Messe Frankfurt opts for Osram Halomax:
And the winner is
FRANKFURT - Messe Frankfurt, the organisers of trade fairs in Frankfurt, has awarded the Design Plus prize to the Osram Halomax magnifying glass at this year’s light + building fair for its perfect combination of form and function. The deciding factor for the jury was the highly innovative design of the magnifying glass with its integrated halogen lamp.
133 companies entered 247 products for consideration for a design award from iF (International Forum Design). Osram chose to enter Halomax, a successful product with an excellent track record. In giving this old star a face-lift, the primary objective was to improve the handling of a product that is used day in day out, without straying too far from its familiar form.
Osram Halomax was given the award for its design quality, materials, utility value, technical and ecological quality and overall concept.
The most striking feature of the magnifying glass is not its stainless silver-grey steel mounting but its long, easy-to-hold handle. Thanks to its ergonomic design, stamp collectors will never tire of examining their little imperfections. The light switch is conveniently sited right under the thumb. Halomax is fitted with a bright halogen lamp to bring every detail to light. A high-quality lens with a diameter of 10 cm and 2.5 times magnification makes all close-up work much easier on the eye.
