Praise for quality and cooperation:

Customer Award for Osram

The Osram Photo Optics Division in Berlin has been honoured with an award that is out of the ordinary. One of its customers, Texas Instruments Deutschland GmbH, named it a "Special Services Supplier" and presented it with the "Regional Supplier Award 2002".

Osram supplies Texas Instruments with mercury short-arc lamps for semiconductor production.

The award is based on an evaluation system used by the US parent company to grade the performance of its suppliers according to their technology, quality, environmental awareness, reliability, punctuality and above all their speed in dealing with queries and problems.

Of the 3000 suppliers of Texas Instruments Deutschland GmbH, the three with the best results in all categories were singled out for praise.

At the award ceremony, Dr. Uwe Leithäuser, Head of the Texas Instruments semiconductor factory in Freising near Munich, praised the excellent cooperation with Osram and highlighted developments in technology and the high quality of the products.
